Doug Wade
President

Doug WadeDoug graduated from the University of Alberta in 1993 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing Specialization).  After graduation he worked with the Quaker Oats Company of Canada in Calgary for three plus years before moving to Warner Lambert Consumer Healthcare working in Account Management.  In June of 1998 he became the Marketing Manager for Vista ComTech (now Vista Telecom Networks).  His key responsibilities were to develop long term customer plans and develop the new Unlicensed Wireless Broadband market for Vista.  In 1999/2000 Vista was acquired by Bracknell Corporation, a $200 million publically traded company, and Doug represented the Wireless sector on Bracknell’s Communication Infrastructure Workgroup; a steering committee designed to cross train Bracknell’s various divisions to compete in the Wireless Data/Telecom Sector.  Vista’s assets were repurchased from a bankrupt Bracknell in 2001 and Vista Telecom Networks Inc. was established.  In 2003 Doug and his father John Wade became the sole owners of Vista Telecom Networks.

Between 1998 and 2007 Doug learned the intricacies of Microwave Technology from his father who was a well respected pioneer in the industry who spent 28 years working for AGT/TELUS building Alberta's Original Microwave Infrastructure.  Doug is proud of Vista and the relationship it maintains with its Customers and Partners, and feels that its continued success is a tribute to his father.

Doug lives in Fort Saskatchewan with his wife Marnee and children Joshua, Jacob and Averee, and enjoys travelling with his family, golf, coaching youth sports and working every day.
